Publisher and contact

Chillaxed is published by Guillaume Picon, creator and operator of the Chillaxed project, based in Switzerland.

Scope

This policy applies to the Chillaxed mobile application and its current features. It is intended in particular for people in France, the European Union, and Switzerland, and takes account of the GDPR, applicable French law, and the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection.

Chillaxed is a wellness and relaxation application. It does not replace medical advice, diagnosis, psychotherapy, emergency care, or professional treatment.

Information processed locally

Chillaxed requires no account and creates no remote profile. Some information is stored locally on your device to provide the features you choose to use.

• language, selected country, theme, and display preferences;
• audio settings, selected voice, volumes, sounds, and favourite exercises;
• reminder schedules and notification permission state;
• recent sessions, favourites, and local progress;
• options, steps, schedules, check-ins, and local history for sleep programmes;
• last verified subscription state, relevant product identifiers, and technical verification dates, without storing any receipt or purchase token;
• optional drafts for activation and self-compassion exercises, including text you choose to enter.

“How am I feeling?” flow

Answers about how you feel are used only to show an immediate, relevant recommendation. They are not sent, do not create a remote emotional profile, and are not stored in Chillaxed’s permanent preferences.

No tracking or advertising

Chillaxed’s own code contains no advertising SDK, behavioural analytics, advertising tracking, remote authentication, remote database, or synchronisation service. Chillaxed does not use an advertising identifier.

The final application manifest nevertheless includes Internet and network-state access contributed by Google Play components required for on-demand delivery and billing. Chillaxed does not use those permissions to send your exercises, preferences, or answers to the publisher.

• no personal data is automatically sent to the publisher;
• no emotional answer is transmitted;
• no advertising is included;
• Chillaxed performs no audience measurement of its own.

Google Play and Chillaxed Plus subscriptions

Some audio content is delivered on demand using Google Play Asset Delivery. When a download is requested, it is handled by the Google Play application under the account settings and Google’s terms.

Chillaxed Plus subscriptions are offered, purchased, restored, and verified through Google Play Billing. Google processes the purchase, payment account, and purchase state under its own policies. Chillaxed stores locally only the last verified state, relevant product identifiers, and technical dates needed for limited offline access.

Chillaxed sends no receipt or purchase token to a Chillaxed server, stores no purchase token on the device, and keeps no remote subscriber register.

Android system backup

Chillaxed currently allows Android system backup. Depending on your device and account settings, Android or the device manufacturer may include some local app data in a system backup. That backup is not sent to a Chillaxed server and the publisher cannot access it.

Local subscription-verification metadata is explicitly excluded from cloud backup and device transfer so an old state cannot be restored as a Premium entitlement.

You can manage or disable backups in your device settings. The policies of your system or account provider apply to those backups.

Country and emergency numbers

The country is selected manually and stored locally only to display suitable emergency numbers. Chillaxed does not use geolocation.

When you tap a call button, Chillaxed opens the Phone application. Chillaxed does not place, monitor, listen to, or record the call. The app requests neither call-log access nor permission to place calls directly.

Android permissions used

Permissions in the final manifest support local notifications, reminder restoration after reboot, audio playback during a session, Google Play downloads, and billing.

• notifications;
• receipt of device reboot;
• foreground services for audio playback and, when required, content extraction;
• temporary processor wake lock required by some Android components;
• Internet and network-state access contributed by Google Play components;
• Google Play billing permission to offer and restore Chillaxed Plus.

Permissions not used

Chillaxed does not request access to contacts, microphone, camera, location, photos, personal files, or telephone calls.

Android text-to-speech voices

Cognitive shuffle may use the text-to-speech engine installed on your device to read predefined words. Depending on the engine selected in Android, this service may work locally or under its provider’s terms. Chillaxed does not send it your emotional answers or personal text saved in other exercises.

Emails sent voluntarily

Contact buttons open your email application with a draft. No message is sent without your confirmation.

If you choose to write to the publisher, the message and your email address are processed by your email provider, the publisher’s email provider, and the publisher to answer your request. Avoid including unnecessary sensitive information.

Retention and deletion

Local settings and histories remain on the device until you change them, clear Chillaxed’s data in Android settings, or uninstall the app. An existing Android backup may follow the system provider’s retention rules.

Answers from the emotional flow are not retained as a permanent profile. Voluntary emails are kept under the relevant email services’ rules and for the time needed to handle the request.

Your rights and control

Because the publisher does not receive information stored locally, the publisher cannot view, export, or delete it remotely. You can control it in the app, clear Chillaxed’s data in Android settings, or uninstall the app.

For information contained in an email you voluntarily sent, you may contact the publisher to request access, correction, or deletion where those rights apply.

In the European Union, you may also contact the competent data-protection authority, including the CNIL in France. In Switzerland, you may contact the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner.

Security and changes

Local information is kept in the app’s private Android storage. Security also depends on your device, its lock, its backups, and the system services you choose. No system can guarantee absolute security.

This policy may be updated if Chillaxed’s operation, permissions, or services change. The date shown at the top of this page indicates the latest revision.
